Curriculum Vitae

KAREN MARTINELLI

Managing Member/Owner

Transitions, L.L.C.

September 2007 – Present (5 years 6 months)

Extensive experience regarding successful operation of a small business - start up and forward compliance in all areas related to structure/function for a small business growing and working to thrive during this uncertain time. Serving a unique range from private clients to small businesses, I specialize in solving problems and finding creative ways to apply my expertise to each project. My services range from reorganizing personal finances to managing a renovation or screening new staff. I represent clients in audits - personal and business-in areas related to tax, import/export, documentation/filing compliance, nexus, employment / insurance / labor / risk and associated concerns. I audit records, oversee conversions, offer single/multi-project expedition-managment, & long term project maintenance. I draft employment contracts, non-compete and confidentiality agreements. I am happy to discuss any of the services I offer, my background and experience, or any other related topics.

Writing & Contributing Public Interest Pieces

Both during and then following the almost 4 year (and ongoing!) period of research related to the non-compliant charity project submitted to the CT AG, I found myself talking with many people either heading departments and or managing the due diligence aspect related to contributing funds to charitable entities. This path led me to writing, submitting and (to my surprise!) acceptance of this work as both credible and worthwhile in the area of assisting individuals charged with the task of researching charities prior to assisting or funding them. Stay tuned!
